. I am a resident of Niagara Falls and I still go on the Maid of the Mist ever year. There’s nothing like it. The raw power of our mighty falls is purely amazing and the best way to experience it is up close and personal.
It’s great for the entire family. It took years for me to get my kids to build up the courage to take a ride on the Maid of the Mist and now they are hooked.

Let me just say that you have NOT experienced Niagara falls without casting off at least once on the Maid of the Mist. The tugboats get sooooo close to the base of the falls that everyone on board gets soaked (thankfully they provide rain slickers), and sits in the churning waters at the base of the falls for a few minutes. For this time, you cannot see, hear or feel anything but the falls……it’s a little frightening, but also exhilarating! I would not leave Niagara falls without experiencing the Maid of the Mist boat ride at least once! |

My daughter and I took a day trip to Niagara Falls and one of the many attractions that she wanted to go on was the Maid of the Mist. She is only 7 years old and my little daredevil. Upon boarding the boat we put on our rain ponchos which they provide free of charge, I could tell she was waiting in anticipation. The ride was about 40 minutes long and we didn’t wait long to get onto a boat. We went through the water and saw both the American and the Canadian falls. Every now and then we would get splashed and my daughter laughed the whole ride so I knew she enjoyed it, I know that I did. |

I went with my dad and his friend on the maid of the mist, we got soaked and had a great time! Don't worry they hand out raincoats so you don't get too wet. We heard interessting stories about the falls, although some of the time i couldn't hear what the person was saying it was still one of the most memorable expiraiances of my entire life! |

This is an experience of a lifetime. I was in total awe of the magnificence and beauty of the falls. If I am ever lucky enough to visit Niagara Falls again a ride of the Maid of the Mist would be my top priority. |

I was in Niagara Falls for a weekend getaway with my mom, and we decided to give this a try. How glad we are! The lines look so long, but they go INCREDIBLY fast, I don't think we waited more than 10 minutes, so don't let the length discourage you! I, being a boat and water fanatic, felt that it was absolutely necessary to go straight to the bow to get as close as possible to the falls. I got soaked, despite the poncho, and I loved every minute of it! What a thrill to be right at the base of the falls, literally. The thunderous roar of the water is amazing! Do it, do it! |
